Find Your Muse Art Tour - $699 per couple
Forget your troubles and let your inner artist escape! Explore your creativity on a personal guided journey with artist and musician Esther Oosterbaan.
Esther was born and raised in Amsterdam. She is a classical musician as well as a visual artist and has a wealth of experience as a music/art instructor. Her art has been shown all over the province, as well as at the BC Festival of the Arts and the Arts & Letters Awards in St. John’s. It can be found in collections in Canada, the U.S. and Europe, and also in the NL Provincial Art Bank. She has an engaging, fun personality and makes everyone feel at ease in her workshops. Everybody is born an artist, and Esther’s specialty is helping people discover their innate talents!

This workshop is for total beginners as well as more advanced artists. Drawing is one of the best things you can do for your mental health. When people draw, they express themselves. They forget their troubles and even what time it is (bonus!) Drawing has nothing to do with being able to draw a straight line, and everything with how you look at things! In our modern society we tend to perceive (and draw) with our “left” brain – a judgmental, logical and rigid taskmaster. We are dismissive of our “right” brain – our intuitive, imaginative, childlike friend – the one that artists use. It is precisely this neglected friend you’ll get to know and work with this weekend.
All kinds of fun drawing exercises will shift your perspective, both literally as well as figuratively. You’ll be amazed at the progress you’ll make in your drawing skills – simply through accessing the muse that has been hidden within you all these years.

The Cormack Sunday Concert Series -
$154 / night
Join us Sunday afternoons as some of Newfoundland’s most celebrated artists entertain you with stories and song. Our Concert Series will take place in the Community Hall in Cormack where our WW11 Veterans settled in the Upper Humber Land Development Project. Your day will be enriched with local food, beverages and craft vendors highlighting our local flavours. Stop by the performer’s merchandise table and take home your own copy of our entertainer’s or storytellers work.
Our mix of traditional Newfoundland and contemporary music will offer something for all to enjoy! This is a family friendly event series.
Space for the event is limited and you are encouraged to book early!

Enjoy a two night stay at Rocky Brook Acres while you enjoy a guided snowshoe tour through snowy trails and windswept fields that were home to our returning WWII Veterans and their war brides while carving out the farming community we have today. Your 3 hour tour will include a moose fry boil up on the trail and your favorite selection of craft beers.
